(All of our mica is sourced right here in the USA! We use natural colorants in our lip tints including mica, iron oxides, and titanium dioxide. These pigments have a long history of safe use in cosmetics. There are two ways to use titanium dioxide: nanoparticles and non-nanoparticles. When titanium dioxide is used as a nanoparticle in large amounts and in certain applications, there can be adverse effects. When titanium dioxide is used as a non-nanoparticle and is above 99% pure, it is considered safe for use in foods, drugs, and cosmetics!)
